Don't Forget Time for Fun!

Wow, things have been so busy lately and I've been totally absent from the blogging world! What have I missed? I've tried to keep up with you ladies and leave comments on your blogs, but sometimes it is impossible to get everything done!

Work has been totally overwhelming lately, but it always is at the end of the month. There are goals to reach and lots of meetings always scheduled during this time. It is stressful, but I am getting through it. I am happy to be returning to blogging, though!

It is easy to get caught up in work (whether for your job or home life), and forget to allow yourself to have a little fun. I just reminded myself today that it is ok to take a break sometimes, and it is necessary to allow yourself to have fun! Be sure to take that time out to let yourself let loose.

Some things I enjoy doing and plan on doing really soon are trivia, riding my bicycle, playing with my cats more, and of course, blogging!

I appreciate you ladies hanging with me and still checking out my blog despite the little hiatus!

What are some things you like to do for fun when you get a chance?

  1. Like you, I sometimes get so bogged down in the work (and other things) that I'm doing that I'll forget to remind myself to stop, slow down and enjoy myself. I really do enjoy running, walking with my pup, spending time with my friends, cooking and doing things out on the town. I just sometimes lose sight of it in the craziness, ya know?

    Here's to remembering!

    1. It's crazy that we have to remind ourselves to slow down sometimes, but that's the way of life! Running can be such a great escape and way to clear your mind :)

  2. Sometimes, it's nice to just take a break for a few days (or even a week). I need that cooling off period every so often and then I can come back completely refreshed, so I completely understand! I love building Legos with my husband for fun. We just bought some new sets while at Downtown Disney in Orlando so I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend with some Lego building!

    1. That is so awesome Teresa! I loved Legos as a kid, but they can be fun as an adult too! That's awesome that you have some new sets! Sometimes children's activities can be really meditative and relaxing for adults.

  3. Life can get SO busy! We take 1 evening per week to purposefully put away our mobile phones, enjoy our meal, and focus on each other. I am starting to crochet again, and find it relaxing...well, when it turns out correctly...

  5. I had to stop and think, what do I do for fun? that's such a strange word! lol I like to read or get sucked into a great marathon on tv, just to take me away from whatever is going on in my own reality. Nothing beats a Pioneer Woman marathon on Food Network or any of the bride shows on TLC :-)

  6. I love to curl up with a good cup of coffee, a blanket and a good book! I don't get too many chances with these crazy lives we live :) I am excited for Spring & Summer so I can get back out in the garden! Thanks for sharing! Stopping by from SGBG!

    1. Ooh, that sounds delightful! My most recent post is about reading and books! Gardening can be really great too. It can be rewarding to see something blossom that you put so much work into.
