Here I am, sitting around trying to brainstorm blog post ideas.
What about this? No, that's not unique. Or this other idea? Everyone knows about that. It's nothing new. You don't have any ideas.
Suddenly, I realized that I didn't have ideas because I was telling myself I didn't have any good ideas. I'm never going to come up with something if I keep telling myself I have no ideas!
This concept can apply to more than just blog posting. With the new year, we are all trying to accomplish something -- whether that is losing weight, cooking at home more often, or simply staying positive throughout the year.
How are you planning on accomplishing that? What is your thought process? It is easy to put yourself down. Sometimes even when you want to do something, you tell yourself you can't do it, or it's hard, or your ideas are worthless. But that's not true!
Don't let your brain trick you into an alternate reality. The reality is, you have a world of possibility. Allow your mind to wander. Allow yourself the chance to accomplish those goals without any negativity butting its way in. You deserve it!
Always so positive! It's nice to know that people do in fact stress and that the perfect image everyone portrays is not always the reality :) Thanks for sharing!

That is so true! Everyone has some sort of struggle under the surface. I just try to stay positive!

ReplyDeletemy word for the year is love. I want to be love, give love and do everything out of love
Oh my gosh I LOVE that quote!!! I feel like I need to make a pretty graphic with that. Wow!
DeleteI absolutely love this quote. It is really motivating and encouraging to me. I also enjoyed your line about a world of possibility because POSSIBLE is my word of the year for 2014. Thinking about how ALL things are POSSIBLE if I try for them has really got me motivated to make some changes to my personal, physical and professional life! Great post, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am glad you are motivated! Keep it up! You can do it :)
DeleteHi Rachel! So true...you are what you think! We have the power to create our own reality. It first starts with the way we think, which influences what we say. As my husband always says...sometimes we have to get rid of our stinkin' thinkin'! :-) Thanks for sharing! Stopping by from the Southern Girl Blog group! Have a wonderful day!
